deep in the heart of South Warwickshire.

A family farmhouse bed and breakfast started in the early eighties by Mrs Joan James and now run by her son and daughter-in-law, William & Elizabeth. We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Whitchurch Farm.

This historic house has been in the family for over 150 years.

Whitchurch Farm lies just 5 miles south of Stratford-upon-Avon and on the very edge of the Cotswolds making an ideal base from which to explore South Warwickshire and the North Cotswolds.
Please note the house is totally Non-Smoking.

Welcome to Our House

Whitchurch Farm has 2 Double Bedrooms and 2 Family/Twin Rooms all en-suite, and fully centrally heated. Each room is fully equipped with:- televisions, complete with tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryers, clock/radios and even magazines. In fact everything you need to make your stay relaxing and comfortable.


 

We offer at your disposal a guest sitting room complete with log burner, separate dining room, garden and plenty of off road parking.

Dining at Whitchurch

Elizabeth is a fully qualified chef and this is evident by the top quality food on offer, whether you stay for bed and breakfast and dinner or just bed and breakfast, you won't be disappointed. Elizabeth, wherever possible uses local, seasonally produced food, including game and our own lamb from the farm. All diets are catered for so do please inform us if you have any specific dietary requirements.

Breakfast

Start your breakfast at our fruit and cereal bar, on which you will find a selection of fruit from our orchard (in season), a selection of cereals including home made muesli. Followed by a main breakfast menu offering a wide range to suit all. Bacon, Eggs cooked to order, local home-made sausages, kippers, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and of course the traditional full English breakfast. All served with your choice from toast, jams, marmalade, honey and a wide selection of fruit teas, breakfast tea, hot chocolate and coffee.
A small selection of newspapers is made available for your perusal in our guest sitting room.

Dinner

Dinner is a real treat at Whitchurch Farm, not to be missed !! Please either book dinner reservations when you book your room or alternatively, make your choice form the web menu and email your choice prior to your arrival (minimum 6 hours notice). Menus do change on a seasonal basis. You are welcome to bring your own wine or drinks and we will be glad to chill them, if necessary for you.
If you are celebrating a special event, we can provide champagne, flowers chocolates or you may wish to discuss menus to help you plan a celebration meal - please contact Elizabeth!

Please note a deposit of 20% made by credit card will secure your booking.
We regret in the event of cancellation your deposit is non refundable.

 

The Farm

This is a working farm with their main enterprise being 9000 breeding ewes. We also farm wheat, barley and beans and for the Christmas market free range Bronze Turkeys. During the game season we have a ready supply of local game, oven ready for you to take home for the freezer.

Further afield

This ideal walking country and the Sustran cycle route passes just minutes from us. We have a selection of local guide books, walking books maps available for you to plan your day out, in addition of course, to our local knowledge.
Within easy reach of Warwick, Oxford, Woodstock, the Cotswolds including Chipping Campden, Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water, Moreton in Marsh.

Around the Farm

As well as our own pets and farm animals you are likely to see a wide range of birds - Buzzards, Sparrow Hawks and we have a family of Little Owls living in the orchard. Plus some of the natural wildlife in the area and around the fields.

Location

Whitchurch Farm, although in a rural location, is relatively easy to find.
From Junction 15 M40 take the A46 dual carriageway towards Stratford at the first island turn left to Stratford town centre. Keep in the left hand lane to go over the River Avon and follow A3400 towards Shipston & Oxford, after about 3 miles turn right signposted to Wimpstone, follow the lane go over the narrow bridge and when you reach the crossroads turn left at the telephone box and Whitchurch Farm is on the left hand side out of the village of Wimpstone, in open fields.
